Rafael is a Singaporean single-seater driver, currently racing Formula 4 with Evans GP. He first drove a kart at five, stepped away from the sport during his school years, and rediscovered it during two years of national service – returning to competition in 2024 and finishing Vice Champion of the ROK Cup Singapore National Championship (Senior) in his first full season back, alongside a strong campaign in the IAME Series Asia.

He made his single-seater debut at Sepang in the 2025 Formula 4 South East Asia finale, taking a rookie podium and three top-seven finishes, and has since raced overseas from Macau to the UAE. Rafael knows better than most what it takes to rebuild pace from nothing, which is just one aspect of what he can bring to a coaching session.
